Plain-English summary of what Xiasma does and does not do with your data on this website.

Last updated: 2026.

Who we are

Xiasma Limited is a UK company (number 04572901), incorporated in 2002. For the purposes of UK GDPR, we are the data controller for personal data we process about visitors and enquirers via this website.

You can reach us at info@xiasma.com.

What this website collects

www.xiasma.com is a static brochure site, hosted on GitHub Pages. It does not have a database, and we do not run analytics that profile you or set tracking cookies. It does not require sign-in.

Server access logs may be created by our hosting provider for routine operational reasons (security, abuse prevention, error diagnostics). These logs typically include IP address, user agent and the URL requested.

Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When this happens, your browser makes a request to Google's servers, which can briefly see your IP address. We do not pass anything else.

What happens when you contact us

The contact form on this site does not store anything on the website itself. When you submit it, it opens your own email client with the form contents pre-filled, ready for you to send to us.

If you email us at info@xiasma.com, we receive what you send. We use it to reply to your enquiry and, where relevant, to follow up. The lawful basis is your consent (you chose to write to us) and our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries.

We retain enquiry emails for as long as needed to handle the conversation and a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping. We will delete them on request, subject to any legal retention obligations.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. We may share information with our email or hosting providers in the ordinary course of running the company. We do not share enquiry content with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, email info@xiasma.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Evagene and other products

This privacy notice covers www.xiasma.com only. Xiasma's products — including Evagene — have their own privacy notices and data-protection arrangements suited to the work those products do.

Changes

We update this notice when something material changes. The "last updated" date at the top tells you when.
