information to their new systems. This is rarely a straightforward
task, but if the information exists it usually can be transformed to
a suitable format. Even closed or locked systems can be interrogated
and the hidden information recovered.
Out With the Old
Legacy systems sometimes stay in place even after their
replacement has commenced service. When this is because valuable
