Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance is Japan's largest company, born out of a merger between Mitsui Marine & Fire Insurance and The Sumitomo Marine & Fire Insurance Company in 2001. Although not necessarily a household name in the United Kingdom, they are an industry giant responsible for, within their far-reaching portfolio, handling and underwriting much of Britain's business insurance.
